Lois Mae Wright passed away peacefully on May 9, 2026, in Aurora, Illinois while surrounded by family.

She was born on December 31, 1926, in Chicago, Illinois, to James and Gertrude (Dicey) Polcaster. She was married to her husband Robert for 63 years. Lois was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great great-grandmother who cherished her family & the Lord above all else.

A faithful member of Holy Angels Catholic Church for 65 years, Lois lived a life of service and community involvement. She was a founding member of the Holy Angels Golden Agers, a founding member of the Bellarmine Ladies, a longtime member of the St. Anne Society, and dedicated countless hours volunteering at the food pantry. Lois was also actively involved in the Cursillo in Christianity movement since 1972, supported Boy Scouts and was a proud mom & grandmother of several Eagle Scouts.

She is lovingly survived by her children: Thomas (Gail) Wright, John (Melinda) Wright, Nancy (Kyle) Olexa, Linda (Thomas) Kasper, Daniel (Laura) Wright, and Beth (Marty) Lachat; as well as 25 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; both parents; her brothers, James and Robert Polcaster; daughter, Kathleen Ostrom; son, William Wright, and grandson Shawn Ostrom.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 11:30AM from Daleiden Mortuary to Holy Angels Catholic Church (on the corner of Lancaster & Hardin) at 12:00PM. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 15, 2026, from 4:00PM until 8:00PM at Daleiden Mortuary (220 North Lake Street, Aurora, IL 60506 Phone: (630)631-5500).
