Martha Ferguson Alice Lesiotis OBITUARY

Martha Alice Lesiotis, 95, of Plano, Illinois passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, daughter of the late Herbert and Nellie (Crawford) Ferguson. Martha was born April 17, 1931 in Green County, Tennessee. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, James J. Lesiotis; her sisters, Lorraine, Sydney, Mabel, and Geraldine and six brothers Alan, Henry, Dana, Paul, David, and Dale.

She is survived by her sister, Suzanne Kiper of Indianapolis, Indiana; children, Teresa Wagner (Rich) of Plano, Illinois, John Lesiotis (Danielle) of Deerfield, Illinois and Nancy Lesiotis of Lincoln City, Oregon. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

She was a longtime member of Saint Athanasios Greek Orthodox Church where she was a member of the Philoptochos club.

Martha was an involved mother and grandmother while also driving until the age of 94. She was also active in the PTA, Cub Scouts, and Girl Scouts. Martha was an avid reader, enjoyed going to Cubs games with her husband Jim and cherished her monthly card games with the Gay Belles with her dearest friend Vernell Wyeth.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 9, 2026 from 10 AM until 1 PM at The Healy Chapel, 332 W. Downer Place followed by her funeral service at 1:30 p.m. at Saint Athanasios Greek Orthodox Church, 1855 5th Ave., Aurora. Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Montgomery.
