Mary Grantner, 65, of Skokie, Illinois, formerly of Munster, Indiana, passed away at her home on July 8, 2026. She was born on June 19, 1961 in Chicago, Illinois. Mary is lovingly remembered by her siblings, Paul Grantner, Cathy Coltun, Mark Grantner, and John Grantner and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Josephine Grantner, her brother, Michael, and her sisters, Christine and Patricia. Mary was a creative writer, editor, and educator. She was a lifelong supporter of the arts and found great joy in traveling and exploring new culinary experiences. She appreciated culture and the pleasure of sharing a good meal, leaving lasting memories with those who knew and loved her. Mary will be missed by all whose lives she touched.
