Mary Tyska OBITUARY
Mary Tyska OBITUARY
Mary went home to be with the Lord on April 13, 2026.
Mary Tyska touched the lives of everyone around her through her warmth, generosity, and caring nature. She was devoted to many communities, including her religious, neighbor, and friend groups. Mary cherished her loving husband, Frank, and embraced his family, her
siblings and their families, and her amazing nieces and nephews and their families. She lived for her five children, their spouses, her 14 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was an exceptional model of loving and caring for others.
Mary was active in issues she was passionate about, including education, earning her bachelor’s degree while she was a mother of teenagers. As a natural childbirth instructor, she supported thousands of expectant couples, including teenagers through the local school district to play an active role in their child’s birth. In addition, she supported many
families working as a labor and delivery nurse and making their experience joyful. She completed her nursing career working in gastroenterology and endoscopy. She was an example of service to others.
Mary and Frank were able to enjoy their later years, splitting their time between two residences. Mary loved Florida, where she immersed herself in her love of shelling, and spread that knowledge and love to family and friends. They spent summers in Michigan, living the “lake life”, encouraging everyone to get up on water skis, and enjoy a pontoon
ride. Her later life was centered around family and providing memorable experiences and learning opportunities to her grandchildren, who gave her endless joy.
Mary lived a full and rich life surrounded by many friends and family who loved and appreciated who she was, and who will surely miss her beautiful spirit.
