Michael John Rajski, 73, a devoted husband, cherished father, & friend, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love & service. Born on December 4, 1952, in Chicago, Illinois, Michael dedicated his life to caring for others, both as a pharmacist at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital & as a proud member of the United States Navy Reserve, where he honorably served from March 13, 1972, until June 15, 1977, achieving the rank of Hospital Corpsman Third Class (HM3). Michael was the beloved husband and best friend of 47 years to Rosemary (nee Stopka). Together, they created a nurturing home, filled with laughter & warmth, for their three wonderful children: Joseph (Tiffany), Robert (Ann), & Lauren (David). He was a loving grandfather to Elliot, Owen, William, & Riley, who brought immense joy to his life. Michael was the son of the late Dorothy (nee Sikorski) & late William Rajski & was a cherished brother-in-law to Margie (Joe) Boyle, a fond uncle to Julia (Tom) & Sean, & a caring cousin to Marcia Rader & the late Frank Sikorski. Michael was preceded in death by his parents Dorothy (nee Sikorski) & William Rajski. A proud graduate of Weber High School, class of 1970, where he met his lifelong best friends, Larry & Mike. A proud alumnus of the University of Illinois School of Pharmacy, Michael was an active member of Kappa Psi fraternity, ASHP, & ICHP, and he retired with pride from his role in hospital pharmacy, where he positively impacted countless lives. Michael’s warmth extended beyond his professional life; he enjoyed fishing with lifelong friends, playing poker, and cheering for his beloved Cubs and Bears. His family wishes to express deep gratitude to the numerous devoted caregivers who provided him with kindness & support during his final days.
