Oriah Taylin Hopkins, 6 months old, resident of Gary, IN passed away May 27, 2026 at Riley Children’s Hospital. She was preceded in death by her great-grandfathers: Orlando Brookshire Sr., James Eric Lyles, great-grandmother Denise Roberts, grandfather; Tyrone Hopkins, and uncle; Alvin Reeves. She is survived by her loving and devoted mother, Olexia Brookshire and father, Tyree Hopkins, one sister Alani Holmes, two brothers Tyree Hopkins Jr. and Tyshawn Hopkins; three great-grandmothers: Lisa F. Harris, Candis Cummings (Roger) and Annie Hopkins; two grandfathers: Robert Ballard and Orlando Brookshire Jr., two grandmothers: Jamecia Lyles and Shareese Ward and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives that will truly miss her. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Guy and Allen Chapel 2959 W 11th Ave Gary, In 46404. Pastor Timothy Ojo- officiating.
