Patricia Marie “Pattie” Vachlon, 70, of Clarendon Hills, Illinois, passed away on April 17, 2026.Born on October 6, 1955, in Chicago, Pattie devoted her life to caring for and educating others. A lifelong teacher, she earned a master’s degree in Audiology and worked as a Certified Speech and Language Pathologist, preschool teacher, instructional assistant, and childcare educator. Above all, she believed in making a difference every day. Pattie was the beloved wife of Clifford Vachlon, with whom she shared more than 42 years of marriage. She was the proud mother of Matthew (Emily Mankowski), Sarah, and David, and the dear sister of Susan (the late John) Glatz and Mary Beth (Paul) Erickson. Known for her warm smile, playful humor, and unwavering faith, Pattie found joy in family gatherings, nature, reading, word games, and cheering on her children’s athletic endeavors and the Chicago Blackhawks. Visitation will be held Saturday, May 23, 2026, at 10 a.m., followed by an 11 a.m. Mass at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Darien.
