Philip R. Torf OBITUARY

Philip R. Torf OBITUARY

Philip Richard Torf, 73, passed away suddenly on Sunday morning, May 17, 2026. Our Papa Bear was the beloved husband of Donna Rose (nee’ Lupo); loving father of Raechel, Rubin and Jordan; doting grandfather to Henry; dear brother to the late Lawrence; brother -in -law to Dan Lupo and Joanne Saathoff; much loved uncle to Corey and Mara Torf, and to Margaret Lupo; great-uncle to Ryan and Sammy. Confidante, counselor, cousin and cherished comrade to countless friends, colleagues, clients and extended family. He was our anchor, and we were his.

Through his two professional careers, Phil made his mark in the Chicago area among pharmacists and pharmacy lawyers, being sought out for his acumen, integrity, and wise counsel. He was proud to have run for Congress in 1996, to have helped kickstart the nascent Shir Hadash Reconstructionist Synagogue, and to have raised his family in the home he helped design and build.
