Robert Bernard Meyer, 90, passed away on April 2, 2026, in Northbrook, IL. Born on October 17, 1935.

Robert graduated from Evanston Township High School and earned an Economics degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He served honorably in the Navy from 1958 to 1962, which shaped much of his adult life. Following his military service, Robert embarked on a career in computer sales, where he was known for his sharp acumen and dedication.

Robert was a man of diverse interests, including photography, international travel, opera and classical music, and crossword puzzles. He was also an avid fan of both Illinois and Northwestern sports, showing his support whenever he could. He worshipped at Village Presbyterian Church in Northbrook, Illinois, where his memorial service will be held on April 25, 2026, at 1 pm.

He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Meyer, and children Tom Meyer and Susan Meyer (Wojcik). Robert also leaves behind his grandchildren Jacob Meyer, Calvin Meyer and Emily Wojcik. He was preceded in death by his son, James Meyer, parents Bernard and Alice Meyer, brother Tom Meyer and sister Judith Hiles.

Robert’s life was marked by his commitment to his family and church, his passion for his interests, and his service to his country. He will be missed by all who knew him.
