Robert L. Baas, Jr. OBITUARY

Robert L. Baas, Jr., of Crystal Lake, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at the age of 76. He was born September 10, 1949 in Waukesha, WI, the son of the late Robert Sr. and Lola (Bonack) Baas. An avid outdoorsman, Rob enjoyed fishing and playing horseshoes. He also enjoyed a good cigar. Rob was the loving husband of Nancy for 33 years; beloved father of the late Ryan Baas, Christy (Dale) Quinn and Candace Laudadio; cherished grandpa of Peyton, Leo and Gianni; and loving brother of Linda Baas, Donna Chrissy, Greg Baas, and the late Betty Henning, Shana Ruby, Mark Baas and Stephen Baas. Visitation will be held Friday, July 17, 2026 from 4-8 p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave (Rt. 176) Crystal Lake. The funeral service will be held the following day, Saturday, at 11 a.m. with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Windridge Memorial Park, Cary.
