Robert LeRoy Strom “Uncle Bob”: 87 years old of Bristol, WI, passed away peacefully, Monday April 13, 2026, at Aurora Medical Center, Kenosha, WI, surrounded by his family. He was born, September 18, 1938, in Chicago, IL, the son of the late Herman and Mae (nee Pierce) Strom, living in Chicago, IL, Evanston, IL, Round Lake, IL, Naperville, IL, Des Plaines, IL, Galesburg, IL, Antioch, IL, and Rockton, IL, before settling in Bristol, WI in 1994. Before his retirement in 2020, Bob worked as a baker in the Chicagoland area, later operating Napoli’s Pizza, Round Lake, IL, and owned and operated Poppy’s Bakery with his sister Mae (John) Crispino in Rockton, IL. Afterword he settled in Bristol, WI, where he continued to be a baker at various establishments and bartended at the neighborhood bar-Jigsaw. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Bristol, WI, former member of the Round Lake Men’s Club, former member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, and enjoyed: family gatherings, fishing, playing cards, gardening, and feeding the birds. Bob was known for his humor and his love for his family. Survivors include: five children: Theresa Strom of Antioch, IL, Daniel Strom of Oregon City, OR, Michael Strom of Delevan, WI, Patrick Strom of Antioch, IL, and Kathleen (DJ) Horton of Weyauwega, WI; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a sister Darlene Reinke of Bristol, WI; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by four siblings: Julianne (Anne) Raske, Mae (John) Crispino, Harry Strom, and Richard (Patricia) Raske, a brother-in-law Bob Reinke, his wife Sandra Strom, and his significant other Dee Baer. To all of Bob’s friends and family “See Ya Round, like a donut!!!” Memorial Services will be held 12 noon Monday April 20, 2026, at Zion Lutheran Church7931 Bristol Rd. Bristol, WI 53104, with visitation beginning at 10am. Interment will follow in Liberty Cemetery, Trevor, WI. Everyone is invited to a luncheon at the church following the interment.
