Sue Ann (Woo) Wong OBITUARY

Sue Gan Woo Wong, a resident of Tinley Park, Illinois, since 2012, and formerly of Morton Grove, Illinois, where she raised her family, passed away peacefully at her home on June 26, 2026.

Sue was born in Wo Hing Village, Hoi Ping District, Kwang Tung, China, to Joe Woo Sr. and Mary Lee Woo.

Sue is survived by her devoted husband of 66 years, William F. Wong; her sons, Edward (Gemma), Robert (Josephine), and James (Katherine Harenza); her cherished grandchildren, Matthew, Justin, Kevin, Allison, Kyle, and Noah; her brother, Joe Woo Jr. (Hoa Le); and her niece, Lisa Woo.

Sue graduated from Northern Illinois University, devoted 30 years to educating children as a Chicago public school teacher, and later worked for 24 years as a Data Researcher at The Bradford Exchange.

Throughout her life, Sue exemplified courage, perseverance, compassion, and unwavering devotion to her family. Her strength, kindness, and quiet grace touched all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Chinese Christian Union Church, 2301 S. Wentworth Ave., Chicago, IL 60616.
