Timothy B. Favero OBITUARY

Timothy (Tim) B. Favero died on March 9, 2026, at the age of 66 in Waukegan, Illinois. He was born on January 30, 1960, and grew up in Waukegan as the middle child of Joseph (Joe) and Edith Buckley Favero. His childhood was full of mischief and golf with his younger brother, Terence (Terry), and teasing and music with his older sister, Antoinette (Toni). The family enjoyed annual, legendary and long, road trips to Boston to see Edith’s family and Pittsburgh to see Joe’s.

Each child of the Favero family was expected to play the piano and a second instrument as their dad was the local music schoolteacher. His musical talents afforded him a music scholarship to play bassoon at the University of Arizona. After giving the sunshine a chance, his heart was in the Midwest, and he returned to complete his education at DePauw University with a degree in music business.

Tim spent his career in the car industry where he was driven and passionate about his work. However, more than the work, he cared about the people and made them feel welcome, seen, and valued. Tim was someone people genuinely respected. Whether you were a peer, a leader, or a new hire, you felt his presence and his integrity.

His generosity to friends and family was legendary, and he loved giving gifts and cooking for others. His Oregon nephews cherished the annual Christmas tradition of receiving a dozen Lou Malnati’s pizzas.

Rest in peace, Tim.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Edith; and survived by his sister, Toni, brother Terry (Linda), and nephews Ryan (Kelly) and Colin Favero.
