Tsuruko Nakamoto OBITUARY

Tsuruko (Sue) Nakamoto passed away peacefully in Chicago, IL on June 24, 2026, surrounded by loved ones in her home. She is survived by her two daughters, Gwen Chinn (Stephen) and Lisa Hendron (Michael); son Craig (Angela); and seven grandchildren. Tsuruko was born on February 12, 1927 in Seattle, WA, spent her childhood in Los Angeles, and moved to Chicago after wartime incarceration. She married her husband, Tokuhide, in 1954. They were longtime Edgewater residents and owners of Tok’s Auto service. Tsuruko was caregiver to various family members across generations; loving mom; doting grandma; and independent, self-sufficient senior.
