STOCKS: The Dow Jones industrial average fell 19.21 points for the week to close at 1184.96. The New York Stock Exchange index dropped 1.29 points to close at 94.60, while the American Stock Exchange index slipped .58 points to close at 202.21. The Nasdaq index of over-the-counter stocks rose .11, closing at 246.19. Composite volume of NYSE-listed stocks was 286.4 million shares for the four-session holiday week, up from 267.8 million shares in the prior four- session holiday week.
BONDS: The Dow Jones bond index fell .02 to close at 72.47.
COMMODITIES: The Dow Jones index of commodity futures fell 1.83 to 122.88, while the spot index closed down 1.48 at 120.75.
