I think Jon Margolis missed the point in his column putting down the visit of Prince Charles and Princess Diana and viewing it as little more than the chance to refight a more than 200-year-old war. One doesn`t have to be a monarchist to welcome a royal visit any more than one has to be Catholic or Anglican to welcome the example of the Pope or the Archbishop of Canterbury.
