Westland, Britain`s financially troubled helicopter manufacturer, disclosed a rescue package under which the major American helicopter company, Sikorsky, and the Italian car group, Fiat S.p.A. would infuse $42.6 million of cash in return for a 29.9 percent holding. Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher has said it was up to the company–Britain`s only helicopter manufacturer–to choose its own rescue package.
