Northwestern University`s Lindheimer Astronomical Research Center, 2353 N. Sheridan Rd., Evanston, will be open to the public for viewing Halley`s comet from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on clear nights Dec. 30 through Jan. 3.
Those interested should phone 491-3173 after 4 p.m. to determine if the sky is clear enough for viewing the comet.
