Texaco Inc. has lost its bid to remove a Texas judge who upheld a record $11.1 billion damage judgment against the nation`s third-largest oil company. Second Administrative Judge Thomas Stovall Jr. said Wednesday he rejected Texaco`s request to disqualify State District Judge Solomon Casseb Jr., who presided over the final eight weeks of the complex 4 1/2-month trial. Stovall appointed Casseb to the case in October after the original trial judge, Anthony Farris, became ill.
