NBC begins the first of three vintage ”St. Elsewhere” episodes with Wednesday`s show (9 p.m. on NBC-Ch. 5). The episode is a repeat from 1983, the series` first season. It focuses on Dr. Jack Morrison`s (David Morse) anguish over his pregnant wife`s prolonged labor and the arrival of Dr. Mark Craig`s
(William Daniels) medical student son, Steven (Scott Paulin).
There`s also a storyline about Dr. Peter White (Terence Knox), who was killed last season by a St. Eligius nurse.
NBC will present a similar package with ”Hill Street Blues.” This Thursday, viewers will be asked to vote (via a 900 number) on three shows from the 1980-81 season. The episode will be shown April 10. In future weeks, other vintage shows will be selected using the same process.
