Mark Levin, Barrington–The senior shortstop drove in five runs to establish a championship game record and tie the all-time mark for one tournament game as Barrington captured the state Class AA title. He finished the season with a .442 batting average and 10 homers.
Keith Noreen, Barrington–The third baseman-pitcher hit three singles, a homer and two triples, won a game, earned a save and was named Most Valuable Player in the state tourney. He finished his senior season with a .451 batting average, 12 homers and a 7-0 record.
SOFTBALL
Sue Stulgo, Morton–Pitched three victories–giving up only one earned run in 22 innings–as her team won the state Class AA championship. She finished her senior season with a 27-0-1 record.
