A 44-year-old man was charged with assault Thursday after Ald. Dorothy Tillman (3d) said he approached a group of people she dined with, berated her, complained of his lack of employment and brandished a weapon, Wentworth Area Violent Crimes Detective Thomas Grady said. Tillman and a group of co-workers were dining at a fast food restaurant at 123 E. 51st St., when the incident occurred, Grady said. Police arrested Issac Hall, 5100 S. State St., in connection with the incident, Grady said. When police arrested Hall, he had a starter pistol in his possession, Grady said. Hall will appear in court Oct. 4.
