If you missed it the first time, ”The Winds of War” is blowing your way again. The 6-part, 18-hour mini-series, based on Herman Wouk`s bestseller, starts at 7 p.m. Sunday on ABC-Ch. 7. It continues next week–with Monday and Thursday as days off–until Sunday, Sep. 14.

The ”Winds” cast is headed up by Robert Mitchum, who plays Victor

”Pug” Henry. His family is the focal point of ”Winds,” which covers the years between 1939 and 1941, when America enter World War II.

In Sunday`s opener, Comm. Henry and his wife (Polly Bergen) depart on a ship bound for Berlin where he will be naval attache. While aboard, ”Pug”

meets Pamela Tudsbury (Victoria Tennant), with whom he will become romantically linked.

Others in the cast: Ali MacGraw, John Houseman, Jan-Michael Vincent, Ralph Bellamy, David Dukes and Peter Graves.
