Mass for James E. Gaffney, 55, a buyer for Publix Office Supplies Inc. in Chicago, will be said at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 1546 W. 48th St. Mr. Gaffney, of Bridgeview, died Thursday while on vacation in St. Petersburg, Fla. He had worked for Publix Office Supplies for five years and previously was employed by Crown Office Supplies, Chicago. He was a Korean War veteran. Survivors include his wife, Irene; four sons, Robert, Michael, Patrick and Christopher; a daughter, Cynthia Guildboard; four grandchildren; two sisters; and three brothers.
