Ted Turner, owner of Atlanta-based Turner Broadcasting System, has appointed a five-member executive committee to help run his burgeoning businesses. The move doesn`t mean the chairman is easing out of the company picture, a spokesman said, adding: ”With the expansion of CNN around the world and the addition of our MGM (film) library now expanding our operation on the West Coast–all of this affecting travel schedules–Ted felt it was necessary to put a more formal structure in place.”
