Mayor Harold Washington has announced the appointment of Robert C. Howard as the new chairman of the city`s Board of Ethics.
Howard, a partner in the law firm of Hartunian, Futterman & Howard, replaces Rev. Donald Benedict, who recently resigned to run for alderman in the 33d ward.
Howard is a former general counsel for the Better Government Association.
