Union and management negotiators have reached a tentative agreement on a new contract, averting a strike at San Francisco`s two major newspapers and the San Jose newspaper.
Union officials announced the agreement late Friday, about five hours after pushing back a strike deadline.
”Representatives of 10 locals have reached a tentative agreement on the economic aspects of the contract,” said Leon Olson, a spokesman for 10 unions.
