A cheap hood who has a penchant for green convertibles is the only clue Mike Hammer (Stacy Keach) has for locating the thug who, while robbing a jewelry story, shot Hammer and an old buddy, Philly Brock, on ”The New Mike Hammer” (7 p.m. Wednesday on CBS-Ch. 2).
With Philly in a coma and Hammer himself suffering a gunshot wound, Mike sets out on a vengeful manhunt. But he has no clues, until another pal of Mike`s learns about the guy`s love of green convertibles. Hammer then begins closing in.
This is a new day and time for the detective series, which moves from Saturday nights. ”Together We Stand” (7 p.m.) has been temporarily dropped by CBS and ”Better Days” (7:30 p.m.) has been canceled.
