Ponderosa Inc. said it is studying a tender offer for the restaurant chain by a partnership led by New York investor Asher Edelman. Edelman`s group, which owns about 19 percent of Dayton, Ohio-based Ponderosa, said it would buy the remaining 81 percent for $27.50 a share, or $230 million.
