Economist Allen Sinai, of Shearson Lehman Brothers, said the odds of Paul Volcker being reappointed as chairman of the Federal Reserve Board ”are greater now.” Sinai cited the inexperience of the Fed`s board of governors, which ”puts a premium on someone with long experience, especially international.” Volcker`s term as chairman expires in August.
