Profits of Affiliated Banc Group Inc. climbed 21 percent in the fourth quarter, to a record $2.6 million from $2.1 million a year earlier, on strong loan demand and improved net interest margins. For the full year, earnings rose 17 percent to a record $10.7 million from $9.2 million.
