Builders plan new HQ

A 1.83-acre land site at Roosevelt Road and Ill. Hwy. 83 in west suburban Elmhurst has been sold to the Home Builders Association of Greater Chicago, which will begin construction this spring on a new headquarters building designed by the Balsamo-Olsen Group architects. J. Michael VanZandt, vice president of Hiffman Shaffer Anderson Inc., was sole broker. Seller was an Illinois land trust. ”The Elmhurst location gives our association exposure to the East-West growth corridor where many of our members live and do business,” said Chester Moskal, HBAGC president. ”We look forward to occupying our own building which members can point to with pride.” The association currently is headquartered at 1010 Jorie Blvd., Oak Brook.
