Mass for Mary Ellen Kennedy, 76, a Chicago commercial artist for almost 50 years, will be said at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 17951 Dixie Hwy., Homewood. Mrs. Kennedy, of Homewood, died Monday in her home. She worked as an artist in the advertising departments of several Chicago department stores throughout her career, including Goldblatt`s and Carson Pirie Scott & Co., where she worked for 25 years until her retirement in 1977. Survivors include a son, Robert Jr.; a brother; and a sister.
