One trainer has been suspended at Canterbury Downs and eight others are under investigation for drug violations. Monti Simms was suspended Wednesday for 30 days and fined $500. The action came after traces of the tranquilizer promazine were found in a Simms horse May 8. A hearing was scheduled Thursday for Mike Green, the track`s leading trainer.
