Baxter Travenol Laboratories Inc., Deerfield, named Vernon R. Loucks Jr. as chairman, succeeding Karl D. Bays, who resigned July 1 to become chairman and chief executive officer of Chicago-based IC Industries Inc. Loucks continues as president and chief executive officer, while Bays remains as a Baxter director, the company said.
