While there may be disagreement with North, Poindexter and McFarland on some aspects of their participation in the Iran-contra affair, I must take exception to some members of Congress for their vicious personal attacks on these gentlemen. Although they may have overreacted in their efforts to resist communism in Central America, I do not believe they should be treated like criminals.
