Hospital operating profits are deteriorating, according to data released by the Healthcare Financial Management Association. The Oak Brook-based group said its database of the audited reports of about 2,500 of the nation`s 7,000 hospitals showed what it called ”early warning signs” of an inability to maintain and replace infrastructures.
