When I was a young adult, there were a few things you could count on which no one ever questioned:
First-class mail being delivered within 24 hours;
The banks almost never making a mistake;
Excellent, uncomplicated telephone service, and prompt, safe air travel.
Now, thanks to ”progress” and the administration, we no longer have these luxuries we took for granted.
If this is progress, I`d like to cast my vote for regression.
