Donald N. Frey, chairman of Bell & Howell Co., will become a professor in the department of industrial engineering and management sciences of Northwestern University in Evanston, effective Jan. 1, when he retires from the Skokie-based firm. Frey has been an adjunct professor and lecturer in NU`s Technological Institute for the last four years. He formerly was an assistant professor at the University of Michigan.
