A man whose charred body was found in a burned farmhouse near Woodstock was tentatively identified Tuesday as John Buckmiller, 37. He lived in the house at 910 Hobe Rd., which firefighters from the Woodstock Rural and Marengo Fire Departments found engulfed in flames Monday afternoon. Marlene A. Lantz, chief deputy coroner for McHenry County, said tentative identification was based on personal effects found on the body. Sheriff`s police are attempting to determine the cause of the fire.
