I found your endorsement in the 8th District state representative race very strange.
The Tribune constantly complains that Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan has a death-grip on state legislation, and yet you endorse a Democrat incumbent in one of the few races where Republicans have an excellent chance to pick up a seat.
Your confusing endorsement concedes Republican challenger Alan Spitz has thoughtful proposals for state government and it fails to give us a single reason to vote for the incumbent.
I hope the 8th District voters will ignore The Tribune`s muddled thinking and choose good government by voting for Alan Spitz.
