I was distressed to read the letters complaining about the ”Sister Sam” cartoon.
I was educated by dedicated women religious for 12 years and worked with them for another dozen. The cartoon was funny and pointed up a truth of Catholic education. Like good parents, the sisters and teachers were apt to catch you in your wrongdoing. Good folks in Washington will hopefully take on the same role until all candidates for higher office have mature consciences and behavior.
