Mike Royko`s attack on black-oriented talk-radio stations and their discussions on the mayoral elections represents an incredible display of audacity. Radio stations such as WVON-AM and WGCI-AM provide a media forum for the exchange of ideas from the perspective of the black community. The market for such programming was created largely by the biased, one-sided, partisan journalistic practices of the major media in Chicago, especially by Mr. Royko`s employer, The Tribune.
