The British Tourist Authority has issued a free booklet, ”Affordable Britain,” for travelers who want to get their pounds` worth.
Along with general advice on finding bargains, the 100-page book directs readers to accommodations that offer discounted rates-double rooms for under Pound Sterling55 (about $93) a night, for example-and hotels with rates guaranteed in dollars as well as several hotel voucher plans.
