Kirstie Alley`s new ”Cheers” love, Roger Rees, doesn`t know how long the assignment will last, but he says he`s loving every moment of it.
”Kirstie`s been very welcoming,” he says. ”So has everyone else on the show. I`d like to be with the series for a couple of years.”
The English actor says his work on ”Cheers” is already ”driving Sam crazy. He`s suicidal,” he says of the Ted Danson character. ”After all, my character-Robin Colcord-is dashing, handsome, extremely wealthy; Sam doesn`t stand a chance.”
Although his ”Cheers” assignments are barely beginning, Rees says he`s already getting queries about making movies during the series` hiatus next spring.
