Can you stand yet another rags-to-riches story about lovers from different sides of the tracks? I hope so, because ”Pretty Woman” is not one to miss. You`ll love this movie not only for the light and funny plot but for the great acting by Julia Roberts and Richard Gere.

They are a dynamic combination-besides the fact that they look really great together, the chemistry between them sizzles, leaving no doubt that there`s a happy ending.

The fabulously rich corporate raider Edward Lewis (Gere) has trouble finding time to maintain a steady relationship.

On a whim, Edward pays Vivian Ward (Roberts), a prostitute, to pretend to be his girlfriend for one week, while Edward finishes business in Hollywood. Vivian, really a down-home girl gone wrong, falls hopelessly for Edward. I`m sure you can fill in the rest.

Roberts is absolutely charming as a streetwalker with morals. Her acting ability is incredible. Gere, needless to say, is utterly convincing as the jaded millionaire with a whimsical sense of humor. Although not too strong on originality, ”Pretty Woman” is a lot of fun to see. (STAR)(STAR)(STAR)
