Two new publications with vastly different editorial slants are vying for attention from women readers.

Making its premiere appearance as a bi-monthly magazine is Entrepreneurial Woman. Produced by the creators of Entrepreneur magazine, the spin-off is intended as a practical and inspirational resource for the country`s growing ranks of women business owners.

”There`s a huge hungry market out there,” says Maria Anton, the magazine`s managing editor.

Anton says the publications will focus on profiles of successful women and offer advice on business financing-a particular problem for women.

Entrepreneurial Woman costs $3 per issue; $19.95 for an annual subscription.

Publishers of just-launched Traditions are counting on the creature comfort cravings of both business and hearth-oriented women, intending to capture readers with content that creates a gracious and reflective respite from an increasingly hectic world, says editor Sally Koslow.

A product of Family Circle`s Diamandis Communications, Inc. the quarterly is intended as ”the kind of magazine that when it arrives in the mail, you`d want to squirrel it away to read later with a glass of wine in front of a cozy fire,” Koslow says.

Traditions costs $1.95; $5.95 for an annual subscription.
