Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...
Calling all inventors! What is needed today is an automatic volume control for radio and television receivers, one that controls the maximum decibel level without lowering medium-range sound.
It is impossible to listen comfortably to radio or TV without constantly turning down the volume when commercials are aired. No longer are we bombarded with high-decibel screaming and shouting only about beer and automobiles. Almost all merchandisers feel they have to yell and make odd sounds to get their messages across.
Such a control would also help when we listen to sports events at which one or two commentators feel they have to outscream the others, and to musical programs when a vocalist tries to outscream the orchestra.
