There is something about this savings and loan problem that troubles me. I recall President Bush saying the people responsible for the failure would be prosecuted. I have not yet heard that the men in charge of these savings and loans have been brought up on charges.
What about the state auditors? Why didn`t they say, ”What is going on here?” Why didn`t they do their job?
