Eli Lilly & Co. plans to create a major new technology center by combining and expanding its two manufacturing sites near downtown
Indianapolis. The initial phase of the project will involve $540 million in new construction and will create 500 new jobs. In about 10 years, the company expects to have invested more than $1 billion in new facilities in the center and to have added more than 1,000 jobs.
